Election shift saved the nation says PDP

2015-02-20 17:21

Abuja - The People's Democratic Party has stated that Nigeria should be happy about the election shift as it has saved the country from a huge embarrassment, Vanguard reported.

As many Nigerians have announced their reactions due to the elections being shifted to a later date but PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, believes there are still issues concerning the elections that must be fixed.

The PDP has raised concerns over the Permanent Voter Cards that the Independent National Electorate Commission failed to distribute on time.

Several people are still waiting for their PVC's to be issued and Metuh argues that it would have been a huge embarassment upon the country.

The PDP wants all people to be able to voice their democracy by voting and they cannot do so if INEC does not distribute PVC's on time.

Despite the negative's surrounding the poll shift, INEC has been given time to tackle the PVC issue.
