Lagos – Voters at a polling station in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State claimed to have seen a police officer snatching ballot boxes, Daily Trust reports.
According to the eyewitness, the police officer sprayed teargas on the crowd waiting to vote before forcefully taking the ballot boxes, which made voters and INEC officials dodging for safety.

When the media contacted the state command’s Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Amore, he said the claims were false and the police officer was at the polling station to protect the voters and officials from thugs.
