Fashola urges police to be impartial in elections

Lagos - Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola, has called out the police to argue that, they (the police) ought to be neutral throughout the electoral process, and to abide by the law, reports This Day

The governor reminded the police about the main focus of their job, by saying that the police is there to be responsible for the people.

He reminded policemen and women that, when they (policemen and women) wear their uniform, they must remember that they are not policemen to any of the political parties, but to the citizens of the country. He urged them to their jobs according to the law of the country. 

Fashola, who attended an Information Communication Technology (ICT) conference, stated that technology is set to play a big role in policing the general election, and ensure security within the state.
