Fayose declares war against APC

2015-04-23 11:25

Abuja - Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has vowed to lead a nationwide campaign against the All Progressives Congress (APC), Naij reports.

According to a statement released yesterday in Ado Ekiti, Fayose described himself as a "prime demolition target" for the APC due to his support for President Goodluck Jonathan.

Fayose pledged his allegiance to Jonathan and declared that he would be the President's last standing supporter if he ever were to be completely deserted by his followers.

Meanwhile, 19 APC State House of Assembly lawmakers have been given 7 days in which to drop impeachment charges against Fayose.

A group of women in Ikere Ekiti issued the ultimatum, warning the lawmakers that they would incur the "wrath of the gods" should the proceedings not be dropped.

The women also warned against any further attempts to impeach the governor, saying such acts could incite violence within the state.
