Abuja - The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed First Lady, Patience Jonathan, will visit Osun State later this week on a so-called advocacy campaign.
The event slated for Osogbo for Thursday is organized under the auspices of the “Thank You Visit and Peace Advocacy Campaign.”
“The visit by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will provides an opportunity for the people of Osun State, especially women, to once again demonstrate their appreciation and love for the quintessential mother who has continued to work for the elevation of women,” PDP stated.

The ruling party enjoined women, youths and all stakeholders in the state to come out en-masse to accord the First Lady a “rousing and befitting” welcome.
The First Lady is campaigning for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan, candidate of the ruling party in forthcoming election.
She has previously courted controversy during her campaigns, most infamously denouncing All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, as “brain-dead.”
