Yola - Former Acting Governor of Adamawa State, James Barka has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Premium Times.
Barka, who was also a former Speaker of the state assembly announced his defection during the APC campaign rally in Ganye.
He said he left the PDP as a result of the party’s failure to conduct it’s affairs in accordance with the provision of its constitution and democratic norms.Also read: 23 Adamawa lawmakers set to dump PDP for APC
Barka had aspired for the PDP governorship ticket but lost to Nuhu Ribadu.
