Jos - Six former commissioners who served during the first tenure of governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State have dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with their supporters for the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Daily Trust.
The former cabinet members described the PDP at the state and national levels as a sinking party that they could no longer be a part of.
The former commissioners who defected are Daniel Ajik, Nankin Bagudu, Nuhu Gagara, Benahel Andong, Na’Allah Mutbam and Joel Gotau Also read: Ex-minister, others dump PDP for APC in Plateau
Speaking on behalf of other former PDP members, Bagudu said that they were joining the APC to enhance the chances of the party’s governorship candidate for the state, Simon Lalong, as well as the party’s presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari.
