'G-5 governors made APC’s victory possible'

Abuja - Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has admitted that the defection of the G5 governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) contributed to the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the just concluded general elections, reports ThisDay.

Atiku assertion was also re-echoed by Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.

The duo, who spoke during a special dinner held for the outgoing and incoming governors of the APC under the auspices of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), said the APC could not have won the elections without the five governors.

Atiku noted that the outstanding performances of the five governors ensured the defeat of PDP at the polls.

Okorocha while addressing the gathering also said that apart from being the catalyst of PDP’s defeat, the Governors exit let to APC’s victory.
