Gaidam welcomes re-election to lead Yobe State

2015-04-14 09:57

Abuja - Yobe State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam, has appreciated the people of the state for their support to ensure his re-election.

He ascribed his victory to God design and promised to work harder in his second tenure.

His Special Adviser on Press Affairs and Information, Abdullah Bego, said the governor's victory came amid inclement weather on election day this past Saturday.

"This victory will spur us to do even more to make Yobe a great place to be for everyone living here," he said.

The All Progressives Congress candidate emerged the winner with 334 847 votes ahead of People's Democratic Party rival, Adamu Waziri, who polled 179 700.
