Lagos - The Adamawa North Senatorial District Senator-elect, Binta Garba said she would unite the upper legislative chamber if she is elected as the first female Senate President in the country.

She added that her aim, if elected would be to bring transparency to the leadership of the red chamber.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, Garba stated that she had written to all her colleagues within political circles to urge them to support her bid as she looks to become the first senate President in Nigeria.
Garba, who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, said that her being elected as a Chairperson within the APC has resulted in the party's recent success at the presidential elections.
