Abuja - The romance between the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and the Chairman, House Committee on Finance, Abdulmumin Jibrin, over the Speakership of the eighth House of Representatives has broken down, reports Premium Times.
Both camps have failed reach a compromise as planned.
The proposed press briefing for the announcement of the consensus candidate between the two camps was cancelled at the last minute after Jibrin failed to show up .

The deal between the two camps collapsed after Jibrin insisted on becoming the Deputy Speaker.
Jibrin's proposal was, however, unacceptable to the Gbajabiamila’s camp.
