Abuja - A group, known as Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) Grass Root Supporters, has called on the leadership of
the party to embrace dialogue rather than engage in blame game following the
party’s defeat in the general elections.
Mr Desmond Adejo, who led members of the group on a protest
to the PDP National Secretariat, made the call on Friday in Abuja.
He also called on those calling for the resignation of
members of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) to desist from such call,
saying it was capable of disintegrating the party.

Adejo urged such persons to allow members of the committee
to complete their constitutional tenure, stressing that they should not be
coerced to resign.
He said the party's constitution should be adhered to where
there was conflicting interest, adding that the provision of the constitution
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the protesters
carried different placards with inscriptions such as: "NWC should not be made
a scapegoat,’’ "APC leave PDP to rebuild,” among others.
