Abuja - Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Yobe State, Alhaji Adamu Maina has said that he will not congratulate Governor Ibrahim Giedam for winning the election.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Maina said that the election which was won by the All Progressives Congress candidate was characterised by irregularities.
He added that he would be taking his petition to the Election Petitions Tribunal where he vowed to press for the reversal of the governor's mandate.
He also believes that it was impossible that he was defeated in the elections as he enjoys overwhelming popularity in the state.
