Abuja - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has denied reports that it is planning to postpone the February general elections, reports Vanguard.
The commission said all the necessary arrangements are in place to ensure the elections hold at the scheduled dates.
Ishmeal Igbani, Chairman, INEC Electoral Training Institute, said there was no basis for the commission to shift the polls.Also read: INEC solicits cooperation of security personnel on electoral litigation
He noted that there was no basis for concern over funding of INEC with regards to the general elections, adding that the commission was comfortable with the fund it had.
