INEC presents certificates of return to 26 Ondo lawmakers

Akure - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ondo State, on Tuesday presented certificates of return to 26 members-elect of Ondo State House of Assembly.

In his remark at the occasion, Mr Olusegun Agbaje INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), in the state, urged the returning lawmakers and the newly elected members to work together for the development of the state.

He said the commission was transparent in the conduct of the 2015 general elections and urged the people to assist INEC to improve its performance.

Mr Sunday Olajide, a lawmaker representing Akure Constituency 2, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), promised effective representation to enable his constituents enjoy the dividends of democracy.

Mr David Oloyelogun from Ifedore and Otunba Ade Adeniyi from Ondo constituency 1, expressed their readiness to work for the development of the state.
