One INEC staff member who served as an electoral officer, was taken away in a police vehicle after confessing to collation of results.

The results collated by the officer were declared as invalid as a collation officer in the region failed to show up.

The state's Resident Electoral Commissioner, Anidi Ikowak, stated that the electoral officer was not allowed to do the job of the collation officer, therefore the results were deemed as invalid.

The electoral officer was thereafter immediately taken away in a police vehicle.
