Lagos – The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega has apologized for embarrassing president Goodluck Jonathan.
The apology is coming after the President Goodluck Jonathan found it difficult to be accredited at his polling unit during Saturday’s election.
He said this during a recent interview which was quoted on INEC’s twitter handle.
‘“What happened in the case of Mr. President is regrettable and a national embarrassment"- Jega
"We have apologised for what happened"- Jega’ INEC tweeted.
He also said that apologies had been sent to the president over the national embrassment.
