Jibrin, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Finance, said his decision to drop his ambition and team up with Dogara was taken to diffuse the prevailing tension in the House and build a stable House to support President Muhammadu Buhari.
He noted that he consulted widely with his supporters before taking the decision to support Dogara.
With Jibrin’s decision to withdraw from the race, the contest is now between Dogara and Femi Gbajabiamila.
