lagos- The presidential runners of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Goodluck Jonathan have cancelled their respective campaigns in some parts of the northern states, reports Naij.
Reports suggest that the there was no reasons given to the cancellation of the rallies in Damaturu as well as Yobe, by the PDP. However, report suggests that the rally was cancelled due to the securities issues within those states.

Meanwhile the PDP’s presidential runner has stated that he will not be rallying in the Maiduguri, although he also did not specify any reasons to the cancellation made.
Some parts of the north have been taken over by the Boko Haram sect.
