Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have come under fire over an advertisement placed in some national newspapers on Monday in support of President Jonathan’s re-election campaign, reports The Nation.

The advert, which was placed by Gov. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti, had suggested that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, will die in office if elected president.

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) lampooned the governor, describing his action as reckless.

The forum noted that members of the PDP have now turned themselves to God to know when a person will die.

The advert, according to the President of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), the advertising regulatory body in Nigeria, Lolu Akinwunmi, was unconventional, shocking and controversial.
