Jonathan hopes for younger successor

Lagos- President Goodluck Jonathan revealed that who he aims to support in 2019’s general election, based on an age factor, reports Vanguard.

The president stated that he will not support any one who is above 57 years-old. He went on to say that his successor should be younger than him.

He argues that the older generation cannot take away the people that matters out of the equation, as the country belongs to the young ones , as the old ones have had their fair share of transformation, and success.

The president argues that, the aim is to encourage the younger generation as he believes that the future belongs to them.

The previous president, have all been above 59 years-old, with Obasanjo leading at 70, President Yar’Adua was in his early 60s, the current president is in his early 60s, All Progressives Congress' (APC) Muhammadu Buhari is in his 70s as well.
