Jonathan meets Jega, security chiefs over polls

Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday met with the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, and heads of all security agencies, reports Punch.

Jega briefed the meeting on the latest in the commission’s preparation for the forthcoming general elections.

Security chiefs during the meeting also gave an insight into the success so far recorded in their anti-terrorism war and their preparations for the elections.

The meeting, which was held inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja, also had in attendance Vice President Namadi Sambo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Pius Anyim; Chief of Staff to the President, Jones Arogbofa and the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki.

Also in attendance were Attorney-General of the Federation, Muhammed Adoke (SAN); Minister of Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan; Minister of Interior, Aba Moro and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Aminu Wali.
