Jonathan promises to rebuild PDP

Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has promised to stay in the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to help rebuild  the party, reports Vanguard.

Addressing the party’s National Working Committee in Abuja after meeting with them on Wednesday, Jonathan said he would return stronger to help rebuild the party after taking a short break outside the country with his family.

He urged the party members and supporters to put behind them the defeat the party suffered during the March 28 presidential election.

He cautioned party members against apportioning blames for the party’s loss in the election.

He begged party members not to allow the party disintegrate because of the general elections, noting that the party would bounce back .
