Jonathan receives accolades for his statesmanship

Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has received accolades for his statesmanship & ensuring peaceful elections in Nigeria, by leaders from around the world.

The  special adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati announced the names of some of the leaders who called President Jonathan via Twitter.

“US President Obama phones President Jonathan, commends him for his statesmanship & ensuring peaceful elections in Nigeria. #8. 57pm, Wed.” he tweeted.

“Presidents of S/Africa, Côte d'Ivoire, Archbishop of Canterbury & others also call President Jonathan to hail him for his statesmanship, Wed” he added.

He said that that US President Barrack Obama,  South African President Jacob Zuma President  Alassane Ouattara and Archbishop of Cantebury, Archbishop Justin Welby had called the outgoing president.
