Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has rejected an offer made by the People's Democratic Party to chair in the board of trustees before a former minister was appointed on Monday, PremiumTimes reported.
This follows rumours that Jonathan was preparing to take over as chairman of the BoT as previously done by former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.

Also the BoT chairman, Tony Anenih, resigned last week stating he was making way for the president as he leaves the office.
However, since Jonathan rejected the offer, the new chairman was elected Haliru Belo on Monday evening to act for the next coming months.
