Ibadan - The alleged endorsement of President Goodluck Jonathan by the Arewa Council of Chiefs is creating confusion in the Arewa community in the South West, reports National Mirror.
Sani Kabiru, the Sarkin Hausawa of Ebute Meta, had reportedly announced the endorsement of Jonathan as the choice candidate of the entire Hausa community in the South West during the president’s recent campaign visit to Lagos.

However, some leaders of the Arewa community in other states are kicking against the endorsement.
Ahmad Zungeru, the Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadanland, who doubles as chairman of Hausa community in Oyo State, said the endorsement did not have the consent and approval of the Arewa community in the geopolitical zone.
He stated that there was no time the community sat together to take such a decision of endorsing any candidate in the general elections.
