Kaduna Police restricts movement from 6pm Friday

Lagos - The Kaduna state Police Command has said movement will be restricted from 6pm on Friday till after the election.

This, according to the state Police commissioner Umar Usman-Shehu, is to prevent security breakdown in the volatile state.

The Inspector General of Police Suleiman Abba had announced the restriction of movement from 8am to 5pm on Saturday.

Kaduna has a history of violence during election period.

Recently, there were reports of attacks on the Governor’s campaign train in Birnin-Gwari, Kubau, Igabi and Lere Local Government Areas of the state.
