National President of the union, Alhaji Abdul-Hamid Hadi, stated this at a news conference in llorin on Tuesday.

He appealed to the leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC) to zone the position to the North-Central and choose Saraki.

Hadi explained that the union’s support the senator was not politically motivated but propelled by the spirit of patriotism and confidence the Union has Saraki.

He therefore, urged Nigerians to suppport the former Kwara governor for the position since the position had never been held by somebody from the state.
