Ilorin - The 21-man Inauguration Committee for the second term swearing-in of Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara on Wednesday announced a week programme.

The Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Kola Yusuf, who made this known at a news briefing in Ilorin, said the ceremony would be a low key one to reflect the general paucity of fund across the country.

Yusuf explained that the governor’s achievements during his first term in office, which earned him second term also underscored choice of the inauguration theme: 'Making our good better.'

Yusuf cited Ahmed’s completion of all projects he inherited including those abandoned by his predecessors as some of the reasons that the people voted for him for the second term.

The chairman said that projects initiated by the governor were also done to the satisfaction of all.

He said the governor had similarly recorded tremendous achievements in education, health, agriculture, youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.

Yusuf said activities of the inauguration included Muslims prayer session this Friday, an inter-denominational church service on Sunday, athletics championship competition, a command performance and banquet dinner.
