Abakaliki - Suspected political thugs have killed the Labour Party agent in Effuim ward 1 in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi state, reports Leadership.
The incident happened during the sorting of the ballot papers in the state governorship and House of Assembly elections in the community on Saturday.
The agent, Monday Ochor, was shot dead after he resisted attempts by the thugs to hijack the sorting exercise.
Several other people at the scene of the incident sustained injuries, including a corp member and an official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
