LP denies merger with PDP

2015-05-18 14:17

Lagos -  The Labour Party (LP) has denied that it was planning  to merge with either the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), or any other party like the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Hope Party, or KOWA Party in order to form a formidable mega opposition party to challenge the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Vanguard.

The party stated that at no time whatsoever had the leadership of the party entered into merger talks with any other party.

The party’s National Secretary, Kayode Ajulo described the rumoured  merger as a figment of the fevered imagination of some mischievous people.

He noted that the issue of merging with another party has not been raised within the party executive at all and neither has anyone or any party entered into any agreement on the issue with the Labour Party.
