Lagos- The state government demanded for the removal of president Jonathan’s campaign materials, arguing that the campaign organizers did not follow the regulations given with regard to advertising, reports This Day Live.

The Lagos Advertising and Signage Agency (LASAA), have threatened by saying that if the campaign group did not remove them, they will take the issue into their own hands.

The agency argues that, the campaign organizers of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was the reason behind multimillion companies withdrawing from the agency, because supporters of the PDP pulled out posters that does not belong to them to post PDP’s posters, which means that companies who paid for those spots lose money.

Manager of the LASAA, George Noah, also stated that they had the law backing them, he continued to say that PDP supporters were damaging billboards, which will cost them to re-arrange. He added that the PDP was in the process destroying the advertising agency.

He concluded by stating the following; “the agency hereby directs the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) and its affiliates to remove all campaign materials illegally deployed on street lamp poles in Lagos State immediately, failing which our enforcement team will remove same in line with the enabling law setting up LASAA.”
