Lagos – Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Kayode Aderanti, said the elections were held in a conducive and peaceful atmosphere.
“The voters conducted themselves orderly and properly, because they knew this was the opportunity they have to vote for their representative of choice,” he said.
Aderanti however noted some incidents.

“Most of the areas that were monitored recorded no violence except for a few polling units in Lagos like Ayilara around Ojuelegba area that was attacked as hoodlums attempted to scuttle the process,” he said.
Lagos, the commercial capital of the continent’s biggest economy, is seen as an All Progressives Congress (APC) stronghold.
