Mark urges PDP members to stop weeping over defeat

Abuja - Senate President, David Mark has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to accept their new status as members of the opposition party, reports The Nation.

Mark, who spoke while meeting with the PDP senators-elect and House members-elect, said it is high time members of the party rise up from the woeful defeat at the recent general election.

He urged party members be prepared to build a strong and united party ready to play a credible opposition.

Mark also observed that the poor performance of the PDP in the last elections might be a blessing in disguise, disclosing that the party would return to the trenches to evolve strategies that would bring it out of the woods.
