Abuja - Angry voters in Bali local government council of Taraba State, have attacked and stripped naked an electoral officer (Name withheld) in charge of the area for involvement in election fraud.
CAJ News established that the electoral officer was induced by one of the aspirants to tamper with election material in his favour during the presidential and National Assembly elections.
Police immediately arrested the culprit.
Confirming the report, the State Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Joseph Kwaji, explained that during the election, voters in the area discovered that ballot papers meant for House of Representatives were tampered with.

Kwaji said angry voters suspected foul play which compelled them to descend on the electoral officer but the timely intervention of security operatives in the area prevent the angry voters from killing the officer.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Alhaji Ahmad Makama, said the electoral officer had been removed and handed over to the police.
He said officer was induced with money.
The Police Command is investigating the matter.
It is said the electorate in the area and the state at large is curious and suspicious of electoral officers in deployed to the councils.
