Mu'azu urges presidential candidates to protect democracy

Lagos - The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Adamu Mu'azu has strongly urged the supporters of the two main presidential candidates, to refrain from using violence and illegal activities ahead of the upcoming elections, Punch reported.

Mu'azu also urged the All Progressives party and the PDP to warn its supporters against these activities.

In a series of tweets, Mu'azu predicted that the elections would be peaceful and also posted a picture of the two main presidential candidates, Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari shaking hands.

He added that the PDP were a peaceful party and warned its rival, the APC from instigating violence and chaos during the elections.

He lastly opined that President Jonathan would comfortably beat Buhari as he had done so much for Nigeria within four years.
