NLC fights against elections postponement

Lagos- The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has rejected the plee to postpone the up coming general elections, reports Naij.

The National Service Adviser (NSA) has recently filed for the postponement of the election, they have urged the government to take into consideration the insecurities issues within the country.

The NLC has asked the federal government to place better conditions for the conduct of the elections, with regard to facilities as well as insecurities in the country. However have refused to to agree with the postponement of the elections.

They concluded by stating that; “In light of the foregoing, we urge the government to speedily create an enabling environment for holding of elections in every parts of Nigeria in fulfillment of government’s promise to the citizenry of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
