Lagos - President Goodluck Jonathan won near total support in his home state of Bayelsa in the oil-producing south, results showed on Tuesday.
The 57-year-old won 361 209 votes of the 367 067 valid votes cast or 98.4 percent of the total, against just 5 194 for the main opposition candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.

Jonathan himself encountered technical glitches with the new biometric voter identity card technology but was still able to cast a ballot after his credentials were checked by hand.
