Minna - Many members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Leadership.
Among those who defected was the coordinator of the party’s governorship candidate, Umar Nasko in Shiroro local government of the state, Akilu Ishaku Kuta.
Ishaku who was former Vice Chairman of Shiroro Local Government Area in state, defected along with about 1 500 of his supporters.

The defectors accused the PDP of neglecting the rural areas including Shiroro local government area.
The defectors were received by the Niger State deputy governor and leader of APC in the state, Ahmed Musa Ibeto.
