Niger deputy governor dumps PDP for APC

Minna - The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Ahmed Musa Ibeto, on Monday dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress, reports NewsDay.

Ibeto defected with thousands of PDP members in the state.

He cited the injustice and irreconcilable differences with the party leadership as reasons for dumping the party.

Ibeto will be formally presented to APC faithful in the state on Monday in Minna during the presidential rally of the party’s presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.

Ibeto contested the PDP governorship ticket in the state, but lost because his boss, Governor Babangida Aliyu, did not back his candidacy.
