Niger - It is alleged that about 20000 thousand People's
Democratic Party voters have defected to the All Progressive Party from various
wards in the state, Punch reports.
The APC spokesperson, Jonathan Vatsa, has stated that this happened after the
governorship candidate, Alhaji Bello, was rounding off his campaign in the area
over the weekend.

The party is overwhelmed by the number of voters who have defected from the PDP,
who have stated that they are tired from from deceived.
Vatsa states that people are tired of failed promises as a result the PDP in
the state has stopped campaigning at local government headquarters.
The APC has viewed itself as quite popular because the party preaches peace
wherever they go.
