Kaduna - Nine governorship candidates in Kaduna State have stepped down for Nasir El-Rufai of the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Premium Times.
The candidates said they decided to queue behind El-Rufai because of his fortitude to make Kaduna stand out among other states in Nigeria.
The candidates, who spoke at a press conference on Thursday, urged their supporters to vote for El-Rufai on April 11.

The governorship candidates who announced their stepping down in the race included Dr. Sani Abdulkadir of NNPP, Mohammed Ribadu of APA, Garba Mohammed Suleiman of ACPN, Hon. Isa Adamu Abdullahi of NCP, Nayaya Mohammed Lawal of PDC and Bala Mohammed Yunusa of ADC.
Others includes Lawal Yusuf of UPN, Arch. Katie Ahmed Jibril of PPA and Mohammed Sani Ahmed of PPN.
