Abeokuta - The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, has threatened to sue the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in the state, reports National Mirror.

Isiaka said the action became necessary in view of the fact that many eligible voters, particularly in Ogun could still not get their PVCs till INEC’s deadline expired on Sunday.

He therefore urged the commission to either extend the collection date in the state or allow the use of the Temporary Voter Cards (TVCs) for the election.

Isiaka also called on INEC to drop the proposed plan to use the smart card readers in order to forestall chaos during the elections.
