Abuja - Over Six thousand candidates are vying for the governorship and House of Assembly seat across the country in Saturday’s elections, reports Leadership.
Of this number, 760 candidates are contesting for positions of governors in the 29 states where governorship election will be held while 5 290 candidates are contesting for positions in the state Houses of Assembly.

Governorship election will not hold in seven states.
The states are: Kogi, Anambra, Bayelsa, Osun, Ondo, Edo and Ekiti.
