PDC petitions INEC over 4,000 PVCs found with opponent

Abuja - Nnolim Nnaji, a House of Representatives candidate of People for Democratic Change (PDC), has petitioned the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to prosecute his opponent for allegedly being caught with over 4,000 Permananent Voter Cards (PVCs) on election day, Vanguard reports.

In the petition, dated March 29, 2015, Nnaji alleges that his opponent was apprehended by soldiers at Four Corner Junction, Ozalla in the Nkanu West LGA of Enugu State where he was allegedly found in possession of 4,000 PVCs.

Nnaji urged the INEC Chairman to prosecute the man, or authorize his counsel to do so under section 150(2) of the Electoral Act, should this not be possible.
