Abeokuta - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has pleaded with former President Olusegun Obasanjo to back the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan in the February presidential election, reports NewsDay.
The party during its presidential rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State, asked Obasanjo to forget all the party’s shortcomings since President Goodluck Jonathan assumed power.
The party noted that Obasanjo’ support is needed if the party must win the February general elections.Also read: Jonathan, Obasanjo meet to mend fences
Adamu Mu’azu, PDP’s National chairman, noted that the former President should at this crucial period support the re-election of Jonathan for a second term.
He urged the former President to throw his weight behind Jonathan in the election.
