Jalingo - Taraba State Government has confirmed the death of a former Deputy Governor of the state and Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial campaign organisation, Senator Saleh Danboyi, reports Daily Post.
Danboyi slumped in his house in Jalingo on Friday night and was quickly rushed to the hospital where he gave up the ghost.
Danboyi, aged 59, was about to retire to bed after a hectic day’s campaign when he slumped.
Taraba Acting Governor, Sani Abubakar Danladi, described Danboyi’s death as a a rude shock.
Danboyi was deputy governor of the state from 1999 to 2003.
