Abuja - The National Working Committee (NWC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed the resignation of its Board of Trustees Chairman, Tony Anenih.
According to the party National Secretary Professor Adewale Oladipo , the official resigned on “personal grounds.”
Oladipo said in accepting the resignation the NWC noted the outstanding contributions of Anenih in the party over the years especially in his capacity as the Board of Trustees Chairman.

“As one of the founding fathers of the PDP, the NWC appreciates Chief Anenih’s guiding role in the party in the last 16 years and wish him well in his future endeavours,” Oladipo said.
He added that the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Senator Walid Jibrin , was expected to hold forth pending the election of a new BoT Chairman.
