Abuja - Cross Rive State governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Ben Ayade has allegedly been sued for perjury, PUNCH reports.
According to PDP governorship primary runner up Joe Agi, Ayade has failed to pay his party dues as and when they were due and he has therefore take his case to the Federal High Court in Abuja.
In a document made available on Thursday, the plaintiff noted that Ayade had attached three different dates of birth to substantiate documents submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after he emerged as a PDP candidate.

It is alleged that Ayade filed dates of birth with the years 1966, 1968 and 1969 on three different occasions through three different documents.
In reaction to the development Paul Erokoro (SAN) said that no perjury was present in the documents that Ayade filed, noting that a discrepancy in the years of birth labelled 1966 and 1969 had been due to an error by the person who had filled in the forms for him to sign.
