Abuja - The Peoples Democratic Party has rejected a recent order by the Inspector General of Police (IG), Suleiman Abba, asking the electorate to go home after casting their ballots during the forthcoming elections, reports Punch.
The party urged its supporters to make sure they stay behind to protect their votes after casting their ballots.
Ahmadu Alli, the Director-General of the party’s presidential campaign organisation, who disclosed the party’s stance on Sunday, said the electoral law does not state anywhere that voters cannot or should not wait to watch and ensure that their votes are counted.
